MY TRIP TO CALI TO MEET GAVIN!

My trip to Cali to meet my new, awesome, angel baby, nephew Gavin was GREAT!! My sisters were the best hostesses EVER. Getting to see Gail, Josh and the rest of the west coast crew is always good. Below are a few of my favs from the trip.

The Iris Story

We don't know why he kept crouching, but he did and it was funny!

So here is the thing with all the pictures of the kids with the irises; When Sabrina was little my mom (Nannie) took some pictures of her next to the irises. They were very cute. Then my mom (Nannie) thought "Hey, every year year I am going to take pictures of her next to the irises to see how big she has gotten in the last year." So the tradition continues and now Brady is in them also.

Sabrina ~ Our souvenir from our Honeymoon!

Shortly after we got home from our honeymoon I started to feel not quite right. Low and behold we had brought something home from our honeymoon that was not bought in a gift shop. We were ecstatic to learn that we would be first time parents in February of 2004.

The day that Sabrina was born was amazing. It was an easy birth and such a happy day. I can not even begin to describe the sense of purpose that came over me that day. I finally knew exactly why I am here. I thought, "I am here to be Sabrina's mommy!!" What an absolutely amazing feeling.

The Beginning

Once upon a time, a long time ago (it will be 11 years on May 10, 2008) I met my husband-to-be, at my friend Bernadette's wedding. Little did I know that when a very "happy" (and by happy I mean drunk) Brandon asked me for my phone number, that it would lead to us getting married 6 years later and to the total chaos that we call our hysterically crazy family 5 years after that.

Quite simply, our wedding was one of the happiest days of my life, only trumped by the birth of my amazing daughter Sabrina on February 27, 2004 and the birth of my incredible son Brady on October 18, 2006.

I love my life.

Dedication

I want to start by saying that this blog was inspired by the wonderful blog, maintained by Gi-Gi, which tells the story, of the birth of my nephew GAVIN. I love love love that his blog is saved in my favorites and that with just the small click of my mouse I can check it all day long, either looking at the pics I have already fallen in love with or to ooohhhh and aaahhh over the ones I haven't seen yet. So Gavin, our blog is dedicated to you (pretty good for a one week old, I must say!)
